01 / THE CONTEXT

Technology & trade-offs.

My engineering perspective: what each approach helps solve, and what needs care.
React: keep the marketplace experience coherent
Browsing and moving between marketplace views depend on consistent controls and clear feedback. I treat loading, empty results, and failed requests as part of the interface design.
The trade-off: Shared components need room for genuinely different workflows; visual consistency should not hide important differences.
Integrations: agree on behavior across the boundary
Frontend work alongside another engineer depends on clear data shapes, error responses, and ownership. Those agreements make it easier to connect screens to backend behavior.
The trade-off: A successful request is only one case. Slow responses, missing data, and retries also affect the customer experience.
