The challenge.

The team had a new React product in an Nx workspace, with rudimentary tests to use as a starting point.

I helped get end-to-end testing underway with Cypress and established testing practices for future developers. The client described my work as autonomous and highlighted the coverage achieved.

Cypress: verify the journey a user depends on

I started end-to-end testing for the new React product and established practices for future developers. Cypress lets tests exercise an application through browser interactions.

The trade-off: End-to-end tests need stable data and focused assertions to keep failures useful.

Test practices: make quality work repeatable

The value of a test suite extends beyond its first author. Clear setup, readable checks, and consistent conventions help the next developer extend coverage with confidence.

The trade-off: More tests do not automatically mean better protection. Critical behavior and maintainable checks matter more than a raw count.

Tests the team could build on

The engagement combined test implementation with guidance for developers continuing the work. The existing project included Cypress and Reflect.Run tests; the confirmed contribution is the Cypress testing work.
